Styers Orchard – Langhorne Pennsylvania ( about 30 minutes from downtown )
It’s a fall tradition that my husband and I go with my brother and his family. We usually spend the afternoon picking apples and then we head to the pumpkin patch. There is a wagon that will take you out to the apples. ( if you check their website you can see what fruit/ vegetables are available to pick ) if you decide you just want to get pumpkins with out going into the field, they have plenty right outside for you to choose from. They also sell bails of hay. The people who work there are very friendly & willing to help you if you need it.
They offer face painting for the children. And you can also book children’s birthday parties here.
They also have some sort of homemade scarecrows around to take pictures with. There is also a “Spider Alley” that you can walk thru that is not scary for little ones.
They have restrooms that are clean.
If you have never been here, you won’t be sorry especially with the fall foliage. This is one of my favorite autumn traditions. I usually go around Columbus Day, the leaves are already turning bright beautiful fall colors. There is usually about 10 people who go with me, the more the merrier! We meet up there, plenty of FREE parking. Be prepared to spend about 2 hours here, if you do all the things the orchard offers. Please keep in mind there is a small general store in front of the orchard, which is NOT, a part of Styers. The general store is a must, they have hot and cold fresh apple cider for sale. And you can’t leave without getting some Halloween/fall treats.
